Chelsea vs Spurs: The Odds

Published by
Chelsea
Chelsea look a cracking bet at 1.91 with Betfred to maintain their excellent home record against arch rivals Spurs.
The Blues have won this fixture in five of the last six Premier League seasons and you have to go back over 22 years and 25 clashes in all competitions for Spurs last victory at Stamford Bridge.
Those are compelling stats, and if you throw in the fact that Chelsea come into this in far better form than their rivals you can see why they have to be the punt.
Since Roberto di Matteo took over Chelsea had won four games in a row before going down to a late Samir Nasri goal at Manchester City on Wednesday night.
By stark contrast Harry Redknapp’s side have managed just one win in six games and have yet to record an away win in 2012.
They have lost three of their last four games on the road, while Chelsea have won four on the bounce at the Bridge and have six wins in an eight-game unbeaten home run.
Spurs have also managed a total of just six shots on target at Stamford Bridge spread across their last four league visits, so everything points to a Chelsea victory one which would cut the gap fifth and fourth from five points to just two.
Drogba makes the most appeal in the first goalscorer market at a standout 7.5 with Paddy Power, and he is also decent value at 2.6 with the same firm to score anytime.
Chelsea to win 2-0 is my idea of the outcome, and that is a 9.5 shot with bet365.
