The Blues welcome bottom of the group Genk to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, the home team will be looking for another win and to add to their excellent run of form.

The Blues

Ramires is likely to miss out after injuring his knee during the Saturday’s 3-1 win over Everton – Florent Malouda is ready and waiting to step-in as a replacement.

Raul Meireles could replace John Obi Mikel as the defensive midfield player, after the Nigerian struggled to perform on Saturday.

Fernando Torres gets a break from his domestic suspension and is available for selection but could have to settle for a place on the bench as Andre Villas-Boas may opt to stick with his attacking trio of Daniel Sturridge, Didier Drogba and the in-form Juan Mata.

Genk

Genk will be looking to get one over the Blues especially as they are missing star keeper Thibaut Courtois who joined the London club in the summer.

Kevin de Bruyne will want to show the AVB what they missed out on when a fee could not be agreed in August, he will be keen to use this game to showcase his skills and to try to get Chelsea to come back in for him in January.

The Belgian club will be without Jelle Vossen, Jeroen Simaeys, Jose Nadson and Torben Joneleit who are all injured.

This will be the first ever-competitive meeting between the two clubs, but AVB did oversee his Porto’s 7-2 aggregate victory against the team last season.

Betting

Nobody expects the away side to win in London, and you can get 33s on Genk to win, meanwhile the Blues are a very unattractive 1/8.

Daniel Sturridge is 4s to continue his rich run of form and open the scoring, and another player who has been outstanding this season is Juan Mata who is 6s to be the first name on the score sheet.

Two attractive bets on offer are evens for Sturridge to score at anytime and Frank Lampard is 15/8 for the same bet.

If you fancy a goal fest then you can get 5/6 for over 3.5 goals, and for the more conservative amongst you will find over 2.5 goals is 4/11.
