Nicolas Anelka could be offered a chance to move to Qatar

It is being rumoured that the Frenchman is set to be given the chance Qatari club Al-Arabi and earn double his salary.
The Doha side want to make a ‘marquee’ signing ahead of the start of the new Qatar Stars League season next week and the  Chelsea striker is the man they want.
According to reports in the People, a move to the Middle East would see Anelka earn £8.4million a year.
The Frenchman has less than a year to run on his contract and with the new ‘Financial Fair Play’ rules set to kick-in Chelsea may welcome the opportunity to take him off the wage bill, especially with Andre Villas-Boas’ wealth of attacking talent at his disposal.
Earlier in the summer Anelka was linked with a move back to his first club, Paris Saint-Germain, but this did not happen as they chose to sign Kevin Gameiro from Lorient instead.
