German giants Bayern Munich are set to make a move for Florent Malouda when January transfer window opens according to reports Germany.

After a poor season last time out the Bavarians are fairing much better and are doing well both domestically and in Europe. During the week they beat Villarreal 2-0 in Spain, yet coach Jupp Heynckes is looking to improve his squad.

Malouda has previously been linked with a move to Germany but this time it could happen as Chelsea now have Spanish winger Juan Mata who moved from Valencia in the summer.

The 31-year-old was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during the summer, with Juventus keen on the Frenchman as well as his ex-club Lyon were thought to be interested in him.

It would seem a strange decision for Blues to sell now that they finally look like the club that has strength in numbers, unless the player asks to move.
