PLAY JOSH NOW…HE IS READY

Following yesterday’s article, I wanted to comment on Josh because I hate to see him on the bench when he can make us better by playing.
We have to respect youth this season and stop moaning about maturity.
Someone said Wilshere, Cleverly and Gibbs got called up because they are better than Josh and Sturrridge. This is not true, a coach calls up the players that he likes and ones he deems good enough.
One coach can sit a player on the bench, another can play that same player for 90mins, yet another can kick that same player from his team – It’s a matter of preference.
Josh M is a good enough player for the Chelsea team and is matured enough to play at any level. He can’t get enough recognition unless he gets enough time, nobody knew how good Sturidge was until he went on loan to another Premiership side that needed his service. Now we can’t wait for him to play for us, we have technically placed him ahead of Kalou and Anelka.
That is what I believe will happen if Josh is allowed to play, and who said he has to be better than Lampard, Mikel, or Ramieres to play? I strongly beleive that we should play more than three in midfield – four or five will help us to dominate and win games. Chelsea are winners, we struggle too much with three midfielders because its not our game, it leads us to play with strength and power rather than pace and skill.
With pace and skill you can play effectively with three midfielders but that is not our game, we have intimidated and dominated the best teams in the World with bodies in midfield, and we can do it again.
Hiddinks and Mourinho played a lot like this and our opponents found it difficult to mesmerize us with their pattern of play. I want us to win and that is how we have always won in the past. But if we have to change this, we must get pacy and skillful players and this will make us Chelsernal. What kind of team is that? What trophies could they win? I hate to take that chance of missing this opportunity.
Back to Josh, if we play with a four midfielder we can easily insert him into the mix. I’m not trying to make him proud; he knows he is good and there is no denying it. Lampard is my best Chelsea player ever, in fact my best EPL player ever, anytime they omit him from the Premiership best XI I cry foul.
But I think he needs to start playing a Giggs role now, I want to watch him play for 10 more years. He can rest his legs by sometimes coming on from the bench sometimes or be substituted after 70 mins. We have to depend less on him so that we can get the best from him now. Until we have someone we think is the direct replacement for Lampard – although you should know the last thing I want to do is look for replacement. Who can replace Lampard? – I give you the MIGHTY JOSH MACHECRAN.
Let him play regularly, then we will realize that when he said Wilshere was ahead of him, he didn’t mean Wilshere was better, JUST OLDER ….
