Barcelona slap €50 million price tag on Chelsea target Jules Kounde

According to Fichajes, Barcelona are ready to bank on Jules Kounde and are asking for €50 million for the defender. Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign the versatile player.

Barcelona’s economic condition could force the club to sell many prominent players next season, and Kounde, who has been terrific for the Catalan giants might be sacrificed to help the club financially.

Chelsea have previously expressed interest in signing Frenchman, but the Spanish club was quick to bring in the former Sevilla defender. However, the Blues could once again have a chance to bring the 25-year-old in, as Barcelona are open to selling him.

But they face competition from United and PSG. So if Kounde feels like he wants to join another club, then the Blues must present a strong case as to why they are the ideal club for him.

With Thiago Silva leaving Chelsea, Chelsea should make an effort to bring Kounde to the club because he is one of the best replacements for the Brazilian, has a lot of experience, and also offers versatility. The Blues’ recent success suggests that everything is finally functioning, and if we make smart summer acquisitions, we might be one of the teams vying for the title the following season.

Meanwhile, at United, things are uncertain as they could bring about a change in management, and going to PSG doesn’t make sense given they don’t have that European pedigree as they always fall short in the big competition.

Barcelona open to selling Jules Kounde.

Chelsea needs a solid and aggressive defender, and Kound possesses all these qualities, he will also set an example for other young players at the club with his background.

The Blues present the best chance for Kounde to come here because he is a perfect player to lead the defensive line and also doesn’t have an injury history. With Barcelona willing to sell him, let’s hope that Blues enters into negotiations and tries to bring down his asking price a little.
