Chelsea keen to loan Cesare Casadei to a Premier League side

As per The Athletic, Chelsea have decided to send Italian sensation Cesare Casadei on another loan for next season, following an excellent U20 World Cup with Italy.

The youngster joined Chelsea for £12 million from Inter Milan last summer and was later loaned out to the Championship side Reading. A prodigious midfielder, he could be a huge talent in the years to come.

Now the West Londoners are looking to send him on another loan spell to a Premier League club where he can get better experience. This should hold him in good stead ahead of a potentially bigger role at Stamford Bridge in the future.

It is further understood that a number of Italian clubs are interested in signing the 20-year-old following his impressive U20 World Cup showing.

But Chelsea are exploring his loan options in the Premier League. The Italian midfielder was in the spotlight in the U20 World Cup as he won the Player of the Tournament and the golden boot award and scored seven goals.

The West Londoners’ squad is already excessively big, and they want to make a few adjustments before the new season begins. Mauricio Pochettino is expected to start his stint as Chelsea’s new boss soon and could also make a decision on Casadei’s future at Stamford Bridge.

The 20-year-old showed his talent, and Chelsea’s scouting department deserves praise for bringing the Italian player to the club. His stock may have soared in light of his captivating U20 World Cup campaign.

Sending him out on loan, especially to a Premier League team where he can play frequently and develop into a true midfielder, seems sensible. If Pochettino decides to keep him, though, he might be an excellent replacement for Mason Mount, who may depart the club in the summer transfer window.
