AC Milan have set their sights on Chelsea youngster Carney Chukwuemeka

Chelsea youngster Carney Chukwuemeka is being monitored by Serie A giants AC Milan, who are considering loaning him in for a season.

According to an Italian outlet Gianlucadimarzio.com Chukwuemeka is the ideal choice for Milan to reinforce their midfield.

The 19-year-old is seen as a quality midfielder by Milan and is praised by the Rossoneri for his technique and tactical adaptability. After the firing of club icon Paolo Maldini as the technical director, the Serie A team is gearing up for a crucial summer rebuild.

Milan had a respectable season, making it to the semifinals of the Champions League but being eliminated by Inter Milan. Meanwhile, they completed the season in the top four of Serie A, earning a spot in the Champions League for next year.

The teenage midfielder did not play in enough games this season and was only offered respectable minutes in the final few games of the season by interim boss Frank Lampard when there was nothing on the line for us.

However, the youngster showed glimpses of his talent when he was given the opportunity, and with the help of a great manager, he will surely develop into a top-notch midfielder. If the West London giants decide to add a new midfielder next season, they could think about loaning him out for the entire season.

It could depend on how much Milan are willing to pay for his loan period, and if the terms are favourable. Chelsea must consider this prospect because the player is still young and has a lot of developing to do. Playing at a club like AC Milan would only do him good.

He will get to work at an elite club and rub shoulders with some of the finest players in the game, given he gets enough playing time there. It seems Chelsea and Milan have a strong relationship in the market, as evidenced by Fikayo Tomori, Olivier Giroud and Tiemoue Bakayoko (loan) making switches to them recently.

More Chelsea News:

N’Golo Kante’s future is dubious as he looks set to move to Saudi Arabia. Jorginho left us in January while Cesare Casadei isn’t really getting any meaningful action for the senior team. Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s struggles continue at the top level while Mateo Kovacic could move to Manchester City.

Hence, there could be a chance that Chukwuemeka players more often under Mauricio Pochettino. But if the Argentine doesn’t think he is ready for regular first-team action yet, he must be sent out on loan rather than wasting him on our bench.
