Chelsea target hits back at rumours hinting at summer exit from La Liga

Raphinha rules out Barcelona exit amid Chelsea interest

Brazilian international star Raphinha has ruled out leaving Barcelona during the summer transfer window in spite of interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal.

To balance their payroll, Barcelona are considering selling the Brazilian winger, who has reportedly been valued at £80 million by the Spanish club. It would represent a potential return to England for a player who

Raphinha struggled initially after joining Catalans Giants but now appears to be settling in the league, as seen by his ten goals and 11 assists in 45 games across all competitions. Barcelona, meanwhile, has been advancing towards a La Liga title since 2019.

The La Liga powerhouses appear open to offloading the Brazilian winger and might do so if the appropriate deal comes in. The player, for his part, has other ideas.

Raphinha, however, has made it clear that he does not intend to leave the team, as reported by Sport. (h/t Football.london) The 26-year-old scoffed at the allegations and said:

Although Raphinha does not intend to leave the club, Barcelona will be aware that his sale will greatly help them balance their payroll. The Brazilian after all, continues to garner interest from clubs who know he is a proven performer in the Premier League.

Raphinha’s game time may be in jeopardy if they are successful in signing Lionel Messi because Messi and Ousmane Dembele play in the same position.
