28-year-old star struggling for form ‘determined’ to stay and rediscover form at Chelsea

Raheem Sterling is determined to remain at Chelsea and will hope to rediscover his form

Raheem Sterling is ‘determined’ to stay at Chelsea to reclaim his form following an unsuccessful beginning at the west London club, as per talkSPORT (h/t Daily Mail),

Sterling, who arrived from Manchester City in a five-year, £47.5 million deal, was the club’s first acquisition under the new ownership of Todd Boehly. However, his tenure at Chelsea has been sluggish, as he has been unable to make a significant impact at the club, scoring only four goals in 25 Premier League appearances.

Due to an injury, he has also missed the majority of the games. And his performance against Bournemouth was met with whistles before he assisted Joao Felix for Chelsea’s third goal.

And, with Chelsea struggling to score goals, the England international is the Blues’ second-leading scorer, trailing only Kai Havertz. Despite his poor season, the 28-year-old intends to stay at Chelsea and be an integral component of the endeavour for the following campaign

In the background, the Blues continue talks with Mauricio Pochettino for their next permanent manager. Chelsea are scheduled to take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday lunchtime, hoping to keep their winning streak going under temporary manager Frank Lampard.

It’s encouraging to see that the former Manchester City player wants to stay with the team and is determined to participate in the upcoming season, despite his dismal performance.

Additionally, we need to keep senior players in order to preserve the positive atmosphere given that many players may leave the club after this season.

Sterling, who is 28 years old, will be required among young players as with his expertise from playing for prestigious teams like Liverpool and Manchester City – he can be a leader in the dressing room to help youngsters.

His season may have been harmed by injury, but we hope he finds his stroke again for the upcoming season, as the team will begin an intensive rebuilding period. You don’t become a regular starter in multiple Premier League squads if you aren’t good. The whole team has been poor and Sterling has also suffered as an effect of that.

Remember how promising he looked under Thomas Tuchel… but everything started to chance after the honeymoon period with Graham Potter was over.
