Galatasaray prioritising a move for Chelsea forward set to enter last year of his contract

Galatasaray are keen on signing Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic this summer

Galatasaray have apparently prioritised the signing of Christian Pulisic during the summer transfer window. According to Fanatik (h/t Football.London), Galatasaray might sign Pulisic swiftly since they regard him as a great replacement for Dries Mertens.

Pulisic is still one of the players who could depart next season, and his contract also ends in 12 months. Chelsea will have to make a choice about his future since they could lose him for free in the 2024–23 season.

However, besides the Turkish side, Napoli, Newcastle, and AC Milan are among the clubs also interested in signing the midfielder. And the USMNT forward will have to make a decision on his future because the arrivals of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, and Jaoa Felix have reduced his playing time.

Meanwhile, the former Borussia Dortmund player has participated in 23 Premier League games, scoring once and assisting once. He also endured a brief spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury.

Better to let go

Chelsea will play Newcastle United in their final game of the season, which will also mark the exit of interim manager Frank Lampard.

And the Blues will have plenty of work on their hands when Mauricio Pochettino takes over as permanent boss, ranging from trimming down the squad to reinforcing few areas.

This should be an ideal chance for Pulisic to find a club where he can resuscitate his career since he appears to be squandering his time at Chelsea, and the Blues should make a decision on him immediately as we would like to avoid losing him for free next season.

However, if Pochettino believes he can be dependable and contribute to his vision, he should stay; otherwise, keeping him here will be pointless, knowing we have Mykhaylo Mudryl, Raheem Sterling, and next season Christopher Nkunku are all playing from the same area.

With AC Milan and Newcastle both interested, we can look at options for him and sell him to whichever club offers the best deal. Those clubs are also, with all due respect to Gala, better placed to offer Pulisic more glitz and glamour than he would get in the Turkish league. He’s too young to consider playing for a team outside the big leagues in Europe.
