Arsenal planning an ambitious summer move for Chelsea first team star

Arsenal are keen on signing Chelsea star Mason Mount next summer

Arsenal are considering a bold approach for Chelsea player Mason Mount, as they seek to add more creativity to their midfield.

According to the Athletic, (h/t Metro) Declan Rice is their top target, and are also monitoring Manchester City legend Ilkay Gundogan alongside Chelsea’s Mount.

The Gunners, who were heavy favorites to win the Premier League this season, blew it in the last few weeks, handing Man City their third title in three years. They are now seeking to prepare for next season and are keen to recruit a central midfielder and a creative one.

Meanwhile, Mount’s future at Chelsea is becoming more uncertain as he reaches the final years of his contract. Despite repeated conversations, the club and the midfielder have yet to reach an agreement on an extension.

Mauricio Pochettino, on the other hand, wants to keep the 24-year-old and might play a vital part in persuading the England international to stay in West London. Furthermore, the 24-year-old has had a difficult season due to ailments that have hindered his performance and participation in games.

We should continue to prioritize keeping Mount, who is the second-best goal scorer at the club after a striker and one of the greatest midfielders we have developed from the club’s academy. Pochettino needs to persuade the club to keep the 24-year-old player since Chelsea cannot allow him to play for a rival team.

Since being promoted to the senior squad, he has been terrific for us. This season, despite being injured, he has shown more dedication than other players. One terrible season should not derail his future.
