Paul Ince lauds Chelsea loanee Cesare Casadei’s debut performance for Reading

Paul Ince was full of praise for Chelsea loanee Cesare Casadei, believing that he still has a lot of room for growth when he made his debut in Reading’s 2-2 draw with Watford.

After making 13 appearances for Chelsea U21 and scoring five goals and one assist, Casadei joined the Championship team.

The Royals are now 16th in the Championship table, making it appear difficult for them to get promoted to the Premier League.

And because of his excellence, he joined Reading, where he can become a competent midfielder, and under Paul Ince, the Italian could learn a lot at the club and become an exciting prodigy.

His time at Chelsea U21 was fruitful, and now that he is a player of the Reading, he might be able to help them qualify for the English top division.

Speaking to the BBC (h/t Football.London), Ince expressed his admiration for the 20-year-old’s display and commented on his Championship club debut, asserting:

“He was good; he has a lot of energy, which you expect from a 20-year-old kid. But the Championship is tough; it is not like at Chelsea, where you’re playing in the U21s or U23s.”

“The championship is tough, but that is why he is here.” “He is here to learn and develop, and I was very pleased with what he has done in such a short space of time.”

If the 20-year-old maintains his U21 form at Reading, major clubs will undoubtedly show interest in him. Even Chelsea’s senior team may give him a chance to play in FA Cup or Carabao Cup games.

Cesare Casadei impressed Paul Ince on his Reading debut.

The Blues have talented young players, and we shouldn’t underestimate them as they will eventually be our team’s future. But for the time being, we wish Casadei the best and hope he succeeds at Reading and soon establishes himself as a key player for Chelsea.

More Chelsea News:

He is a midfielder with a knack for scoring goals. We can certainly use his profile and there was a reason we decided to invest in him as one of the first signings under new owner Todd Boehly.
