Chelsea express interest in Manchester United target and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen

Chelsea are prepared to pay anything to acquire Victor Osimhen, who is also sought by Manchester United for a summer transfer. Osimhen has been a target for United, and Napoli (via Mirror.UK) value the striker at £89 million.

The Blues’ lack of scoring concerned them, which prompted them to buy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona. However, the move has proven to be unsuccessful, as the Gabonese international managed just one goal in 11 Premier League outings.

A striker is still needed, so the Blues are trying to make a big push for Osimhen, who is having a fantastic season at Napoli with 15 goals in 20 games.

Chelsea now target Victor Osimhen as their new signing.

Todd Boehly is prepared to fulfil Napoli’s demand for the Nigerian international in order to bring him to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea’s lack of offensive flair has hinted they need a striker, and the 0-0 draw with Fulham has undoubtedly forewarned them to recruit a talented frontman.

In their match against Fulham, Chelsea only managed three shots on goal, with Kai Havertz missing two clear chances. However, the introduction of David Datro Fofana gave Chelsea a slight advantage, as the youngster demonstrated his newfound experience in the final third by rounding the Fulham goalkeeper before his shot was cleared off the line.

Chelsea now needs a seasoned striker who can contribute goals, and the former Molde forward is only 20 and will require time to develop into an established striker.

Napoli striker and Chelsea target Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen has proven himself this year, and if we are able to sign him in the summer, it will be a great acquisition because the forward is young and has a lot to offer in attack. He will only get better with time.

We have a sufficient number of players who can express their creativity and feed the Nigerian, who should be able to convert them into goals, but when you play in the Premier League, things can be different.

More Chelsea News:

Serie A and the English top flight aren’t the same. But whatever transpires should be in our best interests considering we need to start scoring goals to start winning games. If we don’t take a risk, we can’t expect to solve our issue up front, and Osimhen seems like a safe bet.

But we will have to watch out for Manchester United. The Red Devils also need a centre-forward after Edinson Cavani’s exit last summer, Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in November, and Mason Greenwood’s indefinite suspension. We may just have to get the big bucks out yet again.
