Fabrizio Romano provides latest update on Chelsea’s pursuit of Eredivisie winger

Fabrizio Romano confirms Chelsea are yet to reach an agreement for Noni Madueke

According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are yet to reach an agreement with PSV Eindhoven to sign talented English winger Noni Madueke.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea for quite some time now. Being English and as talented as he is, it was only a matter of time before a Premier League came calling and it happens to be the Blues.

The former Tottenham youth star has really made an impression in the Eredivisie. He is exceptional on the wing and is one of the most important players in a very impressive PSV team.

Madueke has a contract with PSV until 2025 (Transfermarkt). The talented youngster seems open to the idea of a move to Chelsea but the problem lies in the fact that the Blues need to reach an agreement with the Dutch club.

Football. London have claimed that PSV are demanding in the region of £40 million to let Madueke leave this month. Christopher Vivell is said to be really pushing for the signing of the player.

Chelsea have already done some humongous business this season but it seems like they are still not happy. Having signed a series of defenders in the summer, it’s been a forward splurge in the January window.

The Blues have signed Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid and sensationally hijacked Arsenal’s move for Mykhaylo Mudryk in the 11th hour to make him Chelsea’s new big money signing.

This is in addition to the already existing impressive forward line of Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount and Armando Broja. A number of these players are injured currently though.

How Graham Potter is going to fit in all these players once all of them are fit in something that no one knows and adding Madueke only makes it more complicated. Still, going by how Chelsea have operated in the transfer window all season, it will not be a surprise to see them sign the 20-year-old.
