Chelsea signing David Datro Fofana might have to make way for Joao Felix

According to Football. London, Chelsea new signing David Datro Fofana might be on his way out of the club already to make way for the Blues to sign Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix.

The Blues signed Fofana from Norwegian outfit Molde and he is expected to be a massive player in the future. However, it looks like Chelsea are willing to let him leave on loan and sign a player for the present.

Felix is said to be on the radar of Chelsea. The Blues are keen on signing him on a loan deal in January. Right now, they have only two fit striker options in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz.

Armando Broja suffered an injury and is ruled out for the rest of the season. Although Fofana could be used as the third-choice attacker until this season concludes, it looks like the Blues are looking at a more established option in Felix.

Felix though, is too similar in profile to Kai Havertz. Neither of them are pure strikers and both like playing as false nines. Chelsea might need to analyze how they fit both of them into their plans.

According to Gianluigi Longari (h/t Football. London), PSV Eindhoven are keen on taking Fofana on loan for the rest of the season and this could perfectly pave the way for the arrival of Felix to Stamford Bridge.

Felix’s time at Atletico Madrid has been really mixed. Although his obvious talent has been visible on a number of occasions, he has not really been able to showcase that on a consistent basis.

The Portuguese forward is said to be available on a loan deal this January and he could really do with a change of environment. Felix is too good a player for his talent to be wasted and it remains to be seen how they go about it.

This is a transfer rumour that is getting really interesting. It remains to be seen how they go about it and if they actually end up signing Felix.
