“Premier League attracts me”- Chelsea target Adrien Rabiot issues a come-get-me plea

Chelsea target Adrien Rabiot with come and get plea after his comments

Quoted in the tweet by Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano (h/t Football.London), Juventus and France midfielder Adrien Rabiot has come with a come-and-get plea following his comments on Premier League clubs after links with Chelsea.

Rabiot was linked with Manchester United during the summer transfer window, but he rejected a chance to move to Old Trafford then.

The Blues have been eyeing up his signature for the last few weeks. The 27-year-old’s contract at Juventus expires in the coming summer (Transfermarkt). So, he will be a free agent at the end of this season, unless the Old Lady make a dramatic U-turn in agreeing on a new contract.

Rabiot has been one of the stars of the French team featuring in the World Cup. As they prepare for a crunch quarter-final tie against England, the midfielder holds the key to how the midfield battle shapes up.

The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is a versatile player who can operate in any position across the central regions of the field. He is very good on the ball, works hard defensively, has good physical strength and is a goal threat from midfield.

Chelsea need a player like him to add dynamism to their midfield department. The likely departure of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, as their contracts expire and no extension is agreed upon yet, would leave holes in that position at the end of this season.

We have been linked with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice, both of whom we all know aren’t easy options to look at in terms of the finances required and also how many clubs are chasing them.

Rabiot is likely to be a free agent, hence apart from the wages and potential agent fees, Chelsea do not need to worry about any transfer fee to sign him. With the quality and attributes he can bring, this could be an excellent move.
