Transfer News: Chelsea starlet Tino Anjorin joins Huddersfield on loan

According to the Manchester Evening News, Chelsea youth star, Tino Anjorin has joined Championship side Huddersfield Town on loan. The 20-year-old previously spent the second half of last season on loan at Huddersfield.

A Cobham youth academy product, Anjorin went out on loan to Lokomotiv Moscow last season but returned to the club in January before linking up with Huddersfield on loan for the remainder of the campaign. He has now re-joined the Championship side and will likely be available for selection for their friendly against Bolton Wanderers.

Anjorin’s spell at the Kirklees Stadium last season was hampered by injury. He still managed to make eight appearances for the Terriers, scoring one goal. He was also on the bench when they reached the play-offs final.

Anjorin was part of the Chelsea squad that travelled to America for the pre-season. But his trip was cut short as Thomas Tuchel sent him to train with the Under-21 squad. This had raised speculations that the attacking midfielder will be loaned out again, and it has proved to be true.

On the other hand, Huddersfield coach Danny Schofield was excited to have the youngster in his team for next season. He will hope Anjorin plays a crucial part as they plan to fight for promotion next season.

“I’m incredibly happy to welcome Tino back to the group today, as he has the potential to be a real difference-maker for us on the pitch.”

The England Under-20 international is an excellent talent and Tuchel will hope that he improves a lot during his loan spell. An attacking midfielder, he can also play as a left-midfielder, something which will suit Tuchel style of play. The midfielder has already linked up with his new squad at their St George’s Park training camp.

It was a wise decision on Chelsea’s part to loan out the player. He is still young and has a lot to learn before he can play for the senior team. A loan spell will help him gain experience and improve his overall play and also allow Chelsea to monitor the player’s growth.

This looks like a win-win situation for both the player and the club. As for the Chelsea fans, they will be glad to know that their youth player is getting game time and could potentially continue his development at Huddersfield.
