According to Daily Mail Online, future transfer targets could harbour doubts about moving to Chelsea thanks to Roman Abramovich‘s links to the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. The English club’s efforts to strengthen the squad could be affected by this update.

Putin led Russia has started a war against Ukraine, which has put the Blues into trouble on several fronts. Abramovich wants to sell the club as a result due to the risk of being dealt with sanctions by the UK government.
