Predicted 3-4-2-1 Chelsea XI to face Brentford – Can the Blues mount a late title charge?

Predicted Chelsea line-up to take on Brentford in the Premier League

The Chelsea vs Brentford looks to be a one-sided game. The Blues are in Red hot form after securing victories in Champions League and FA Cup fixtures. They have moved past the injury dilemma and are looking solid in every aspect of the game. Even though the title is a big ask for them this season, they can still secure a better position on the table.

Brentford have only 2 wins in the last 5 matches. Their season has already fallen apart, but they still have to win the relegation battle in order to stay in the Premier League. To avoid slipping down in the danger zone, they would be motivated to secure an optimistic result against Chelsea.

Team News

Chelsea have several good news regarding injury boosts. It seems Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Andreas Christensen have all returned to training after recovering from their respective injury issues. Jorginho was supposed to be taking a break day after his return from international duty, but the Italian has also joined the rest of the squad in training.

Despite the comebacks, it’s improbable that Thomas Tuchle would risk his crucial players against a team that is currently sitting on the bottom half of the table.

Probable Chelsea XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Edouard Mendy (GK)

After helping his country secure the World Cup spot, Mendy is set to return to club action. Considered as one of the best keepers in the world, the Senegalese’s presence inside the sticks makes a big difference for Chelsea.

César Azpilicueta (RWB)

Due to the absence of Reece James, Azpilicueta has returned to his old right-back spot. He is one of those players who remains highly motivated and tries to give their best in any condition.

Thiago Silva (CB)

The Brazilian is one of the most experienced players in the Chelsea squad. Despite his growing age, he still showcased some world-class performance in this term which suggests he is capable of handling pressure.

Trevoh Chalobah (CB)

The youngster has done well to cement a place for him in Tuchel’s matchday squads on a regular basis. With three of our first-team defenders out of contract this summer, he is the future of the club in defence. And even in the present, he seems like an almost irreplaceable young cog in our defensive wheel.

Antonio Rüdiger (CB)

Even though his contract situation remains a misery for the Chelsea board, there is no complaint about his on-field performance so far. Furthermore, he has given some game-winning performances in this campaign.

Malang Sarr (LWB)

Thomas Tuchel has tried to fill the void left by Ben Chilwell using Malang Sarr. Even though he has flourished in defensive duties, he still needs to do massive work in his attacking abilities to reach the level of the Englishman.

Mateo Kovačić (CM)

Kovačić has become a crucial part of Thomas Tuchel’s midfield, in fact, he has formed the core of the team partnering with N’Golo Kanté and Jorginho.

N’Golo Kanté (CM)

Being one of the most hard-working players in the Chelsea squad, Kanté sometimes offers the ability of two players in one. His tireless running and incredible intelligence make him one of the best midfielders in the world.

Hakim Ziyech (RAM)

Ziyech’s goal against Middlesbrough is a sign that the Moroccan international is slowly picking up the pace. After a slow start to the season, if he ends the season on a high note, it’ll give him a confidence boost for the coming term.

Mason Mount (LAM)

Mount took charge of Chelsea’s attacks when the forward line wasn’t performing as expected. His incredible conversion rate has attracted a lot of praise, but his job is far from finished considering the crucial fixtures.

Kai Havertz (ST)

Havertz is becoming a clutch player for Chelsea. After scoring winning goals in the UCL final and Club world cup final, his importance has increased. His ability to break the opponent’s defensive lines makes him a viable forward option, one who has frequently displaced Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner from the starting XI.

Chelsea vs Brentford prediction

Chelsea will play the Champions League home fixture against Real Madrid after just 5 days from the match against Brentford, hence they will do everything in their power to get a win in the coming game in order to keep the motivation high. On the other hand, the Bees’ defence doesn’t have the kind of solidity to prevent the Blues’ attackers for the whole game. That’s why we are going for a 3-0 victory in favour of Chelsea.

If you fancy a bet on the game, have boosted the odds for Chelsea to win and both teams to score from 11/4 to 3/1.
