Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are the latest clubs to monitor the situation of Chelsea loanee Armando Broja

According to The Sun, German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are the latest to be keeping tabs on 20-year-old Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

The Albanian professional footballer has been impressive with his current loan stint at Southampton. The youngster has done an able job of replacing Danny Ings who left to ply his trade at Aston Villa. The 20-year-old has put in great displays and is starting to establish himself as a regular at Saint Mary’s Stadium.

The young striker played a pivotal role in the Saints’ victory against Tottenham Hotspur recently and proved to be a threat for their backline all night. The Armenian has been attracting interest from top clubs which also include bitter rivals Arsenal.

Ralph Hasenhuttl is also thought to be a big fan of the young striker and has shown his interest in keeping Broja at Southampton after the end of this season. The youngster has been pretty handy and has developed exceptionally well under the tutelage of the Austrian manager.

What does all this interest mean for Chelsea and Armando Broja?

The Blues have had their own attacking struggles this season. While Romelu Lukaku has chipped in with crucial goals in the recently concluded FIFA Club World Cup, he has struggled to showcase that same clinical ability in the Premier League as well as the UEFA Champions League.

Timo Werner has also found it difficult to rediscover the kind of potential that he showed at his previous club. These nagging issues coupled with injuries to players like Mason Mount, Reece James, and Ben Chilwell have given Thomas Tuchel a few issues in the opposition half of the pitch.

Chelsea starlet Armando Broja has been impressive in his loan spell at Southampton

If the narrative continues in this manner, the 48-year-old manager could be tempted to bring Broja back to Stamford Bridge at the end of his loan spell. While some could argue that featuring in Chelsea’s starting 11 could be too much of a burden at this age, the Albanian has proved on several occasions that he has the mettle to go toe to toe with some of the top clubs in the Premier League.

His performances have also been attracting a lot of attention and the Blues could risk the chance of losing a supremely talented starlet if they don’t react fast. The interest from the likes of Dortmund and Munich is testimony to the kind of potential that Armando Broja possesses and losing him to another top club would be a sight for sore eyes amongst the fanbase.
