Transfer specialist tips Chelsea legend to raid Stamford Bridge for talented trio, currently out on loan

Frank Lampard backed to sign Chelsea trio Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Billy Gilmour

Transfer expert Dean Jones has tipped Everton manager Frank Lampard to express interest in signing Chelsea loanees Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Billy Gilmour. The club legend could potentially become a thorn for his former club if he does prise away the trio on a permanent transfer in the future.

Speaking in an interview with GiveMeSport (h/t Football.London), Jones has suggested that Lampard will monitor the situation of the Blues trio for potential moves in the summer transfer window. He seemingly expects at least one of them to move to Goodison Park in the summer.

“Frank Lampard will keep a close eye on Gilmour, Broja and Gallagher situations at Chelsea over the summer. I’ll be amazed if at least one of them doesn’t join Everton by next season.”

Gallagher, Broja and Gilmour have done well in recent times and losing all three could be a major blow for the west London club. The transfer guru has not given any insight on the nature of the deal, so there is a chance that it could be a loan deal in the end.

It does seem that the transfer specialist has some weight to his words after all. According to TEAMtalk (h/t Burnley Express), Everton have registered interest to sign Gallagher at the end of the current campaign. Moreover, the Toffees coach will likely use his influence to finalise the move next summer.

Potential blow?

The confirmed interest also does not provide us with any information regarding the nature of the potential deal. That could be concerning as we could lose the young trio permanently in the summer transfer window. Then again, we cannot afford to lose them as they could shape our future success.

Loan deals would do us wonders as the former England international can develop them under his guidance for us. That would help us in the long term as they would gain valuable experience while developing into becoming future superstars. That is if the Merseyside club stays in the Premier League after this term.

We cannot allow a permanent deal to happen in any case. All three loanees have fared well and are future prospects for the club. That being said, we should only finalise a temporary move if the Toffees can stay in the top flight. After all, it would not make sense to loan them to a lower division when they have done well at a higher level.

Facilitating loan moves for the English duo is sensible since our midfield is filled to the brim with options currently. As for the striker, we could consider using him next season, looking at the attacking struggles we have suffered this term. It remains to be seen how this situation would develop ahead of the summer transfer window.
