According to Football Insider (h/t Express), the Chelsea board are now confident that Mason Mount is ready to commit to a long term future at Stamford Bridge amid speculation that he could leave the club.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the 22-year-old in recent times. But it seems they wouldn’t get their hands on the starlet.

It is believed that the Chelsea board have made the breakthrough in contract talks and are now ‘confident’ that they have convinced the English player to stay at the club. It seems the Chelsea youth player is set to sign a new contract that includes an upgraded wage deal.
