According to transfer news from 90min (h/t Daily Star), Chelsea are considering a possible bid for Aurelien Tchouameni. The Blues are keen to add the youngster to their ranks within the reaming week in the transfer window. Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be after the Monaco midfielder.
Chelsea are not really done with their business in the transfer window it would seem. They already have two out of two wins in the Premier League and their marquee addition, Romelu Lukaku is also off the mark with a goal. Regardless, another name or two might yet be entering through the doors before the window closes on the 31st of this month.
One of the names Chelsea are actively looking at is Aurelien Tchouameni of AS Monaco. The midfielder emerged from the academy of Bordeaux and over time, he impressed so much so soon that he was rapidly allowed to move up the ladder, right to the first team. In January 2020, Monaco would come for his signature.
His impressive showings meant that he was on the radar of clubs such as Chelsea, United and Liverpool. It is understood that Monaco would be willing to consider offers north of £30million. Chelsea are said to be in advanced talks and after signing him, they would allow him to return on loan.
This whole arrangement can be what works in favour of Chelsea. It could well be the difference between the Blues getting a hold of him and their rivals doing so. Tchouameni is a talented player who can develop even further. He might be worth banking on for Chelsea for the long term.
