Fans react as Chelsea kick off new Premier League season with win over Crystal Palace

Chelsea have gotten off the mark in the Premier League with a convincing win over Crystal Palace. Tuchel sprung a few changes in the starting XI with the likes of N’Golo Kante missing. Nonetheless, it did not matter much at the end as they romped to a win.

Marcos Alonso kicked things off with a peach of a free-kick. Christian Pulisic added another as Chelsea went into the break with a 2-0 lead. The Blues continued to dominate proceedings in the second half as well and their dominance paid off.

Young Trevoh Chalobah was handed his first Premier League start and it was only his second competitive game. His long-range effort went in off the bar to extend Chelsea’s lead and his reactions showed how much the goal meant to him.

Chelsea had a few more chances here and there but in the end, it was a comfortable victory. Palace hardly troubled the Blues backline through the 90 minutes and the Blue’s defenders never really looked in much of a hassle. The win should help Chelsea keep things on a positive note ahead of the London derby against Arsenal next week.

Here is how the fans reacted on Twitter as Chelsea claimed all three points against Crystal Palace.
