Serie A giants keen to complete a deal for this veteran Chelsea star

Transfer News: AC Milan want to complete Olivier Giroud deal soon

According to transfer news from Football.london, AC Milan have set a deadline for the signing of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud. The Italian giants want to wrap up a deal within this week. This is because they want to integrate the player into the side over the pre-season.

Giroud has been with Chelsea for three and a half seasons now, having signed from rivals Arsenal. While he hasn’t always been a regular in the starting XI, the French international has made vital contributions to the team’s cause at every step of the way, winning the FA Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League.

With Giroud’s contract set to end this season, it was widely believed that he would be leaving the club on a free transfer. However, Chelsea announced that the World Cup winner had already agreed on a one-year extension earlier in the season, meaning that he would not be leaving for free.

Now, AC Milan, who have been after the veteran striker for a while, want to get a deal for him done soon. They have set a deadline and want to sign him by the end of this week. The club are scheduled to start pre-season soon and want the French striker to be a part of that. Milan are also encouraging him to persuade Chelsea to release him from his contract to facilitate a free transfer.
