Timo Werner sends Thomas Tuchel a message ahead of Liverpool vs Chelsea

Speaking to BBC Sport (h/t Metro), Chelsea new boy Timo Werner has urged Thomas Tuchel to keep screaming at him so that he can perform better. The German is confident that he can start finding some goals soon on a regular basis.

Werner was a big-money signing from Leipzig in the summer transfer window and was expected to continue his goal-scoring exploits in England. However, he again failed to score on Sunday night against Man United and has just the one goal to show in the last 19 games.

However, he feels like Thomas Tuchel shouting at him from the touchline is what’s needed and that could give him a boost.

“I can talk to him very easily. When he screams on the pitch, no problem for me. I need types of managers who scream at me. It gives me more power. You can always learn more from the bad situations. I learned to trust in myself, to give everything on the pitch, not only think about goals and fight for the team.”

Werner now hopes that the bad days are behind him and that he wants to start scoring goals on a regular basis. He added that even good strikers take a period of adjustment in the Premier League and he feels that his form is getting much better.

More Chelsea News:

Chelsea have done much better in recent weeks with a nine-game unbeaten run under Thomas Tuchel. However, Werner has scored just one goal during that time as Tuchel still tries to figure out how to get the best out of the talented striker.

Liverpool could be a good place for Werner to start showing his capabilities and leave behind his bad form.
