Chelsea fans rejoice as Ethan Ampadu impresses for Sheffield United

Chelsea loanee Ethan Ampadu put in a shift for all ninety minutes as Sheffield United won their first game of the season against Newcastle United.

The 20-year-old, currently on a season-long loan, has made 14 appearances for the Blades in all competitions. His performance against Newcastle United, however, could be a turning point in his season.

The youngster is blessed with ability but has so far struggled to shine on a consistent basis. Yesterday, he showed the first glimpses of a potential star in the making.

The youngster was the Man of the Match on the night as Chris Wilder’s side finally stemmed their tide of losses. Although the Blades are nine points off safety, a few wins will see them back in the mix for Premier League survival.

Dominant both on the pitch and in the air, it was a thoroughly dominant display by the Chelsea youngster. Hopefully, he will continue to perform and return to Stamford Bridge as a much-developed player.
