Chelsea and Tottenham youngsters team up to spread Christmas cheer

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea and Tottenham youngsters have come together to help spread festive cheer among the underprivileged in London.

Chelsea starlet Dynel Simeu and Spurs defender Tobi Omole made time to support community organization Safe House London’s third Christmas present drive.

The duo’s management company, Elite Project Group, were behind the initiative to provide gifts for East London’s less fortunate. Given the tough year we have had, they were especially keen to raise morale with their activities.

The initiative saw them source gifts from the sponsors of their players. This includes the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Alex Iwobi, and Todd Cantwell. Donations included boots, trainers, items of clothing and other presents.

Simeu who has represented England at the Under-18 level also captains Chelsea’s U-23 side. He was an unused substitute in our Champions League away trip to Bayern Munich last season.

Together with Omole, the duo helped with the wrapping and delivering of the presents to the Safehouse.

Chelsea first-team stars also have been doing their bit to help the needy during these difficult times.

While the coronavirus restrictions prevented players from appearing in person, the club ensured that Chelsea-themed gift packages were received at the children’s wards at both Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. (h/t Chelsea FC)

Christmas messages from a number of players including Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, and Mason Mount were also sent to the young patients and their families.
