According to The Sun, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho could link up with Maurizio Sarri at his new club.
The same was revealed by the player’s agent Joao Santos. Such an event will be the third time that the Italian duo have teamed up.
Jorginho was a key component of the ‘Sarriball’ incorporated at Napoli by Sarri. It came as no surprise that he brought the player with him to Chelsea when he took over from Antonio Conte in 2018.
Sarri parted ways with Chelsea in 2019 and took the job at Italian giants Juventus. It comes as no surprise that the player continued to be linked with a move to Turin the last two windows.
The Italian manager has since parted ways with Juventus and is now without a club. According to Santos, Jorginho is keeping tabs on where Sarri ends up next.
“We’re waiting to see where Sarri goes, and if it’s a big club in Italy, Jorginho could follow him.”
He also went on to add that Jorginho could have made the move to Juventus had Sarri still been in charge.
“If Sarri had remained, perhaps he’d have joined Juventus.”
The Italian international is a player who has often divided opinion among fans. He has to an extent improved since his debut season and is now more comfortable playing in Frank Lampard’s system.
Despite his future being uncertain, Jorginho is enjoying life under Frank Lampard. Santos believes the Blues are on course to do better than how they did last season.
Where Sarri and potentially Jorginho end up remains to be seen. For now, he remains a Chelsea player.
