Chelsea fans have taken a potshot at RB Leipzig regarding Timo Werner after the Germans crashed out of the UEFA Champions League.
The Bundesliga side had no answer to French champions PSG as they fell 3-0 on the night. Although they created a number of chances, Leipzig’s lack of a dependable striker was apparent.
Whether Werner could have had made a difference on the night is debatable. However, with him now a Chelsea player, it should be none of his business what the Germans are up to.
Fans for their part had not forgotten a joke made by the Leipzig’s official Twitter account after our FA Cup final defeat at the hands of Arsenal at the start of the month.
Leipzig joked that Werner was ‘typing’ a message in his former side’s WhatsApp group. It gave rise to the suggestion that he regretted his move following the 2-1 loss at Wembley.
With the Germans now facing a similar predicament, the Blues fans were keen to repay them in full. A number of them took to Twitter in the aftermath of the PSG result. We take a look at what a few of them said below.
