Ross Barkley issues Christian Pulisic warning to rival defenders

According to the Express, Chelsea star Ross Barkley has warned opposition teams to be wary of teammate Christian Pulisic.

The American sensation has enjoyed a successful first season at the Bridge. Despite an injury cutting short his appearances, he has managed to score an impressive 8 goals and 6 assists in 28 games. 

His goal contribution of 0.50 per game is only comparatively lesser than that of Eden Hazard’s 0.57 per game. If anything, Pulisic has upped his game since the restart and has been one of our best players.

“Since Christian came back from lockdown he has been on fire.” 

Barkley has remarked at the American ace’s strong return from injury. He has scored twice in the last five games with his direct runs and pace proving to be a terror to opposition defenders.

He has also been impressive in training, with him regularly finding the net. The suspension of football has come as a blessing for Chelsea who have been able to bring their summer signing to full strength during the break.

“He is such a difficult player to defend against, because he is so direct. He is so confident. He is always ready to try and take a player on. He is a real problem for defenders.”

Pulisic was for long touted as one of the best upcoming talents in world football. At Chelsea, he looks ready to take the next step in his development. It will benefit both the club and the player as the 21-year-old continues to go from strength to strength.
