According to the Daily Star, Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is looking forward to connecting with new signing Timo Werner.
The German ace became the latest player to join Frank Lampard’s blue revolution at the Bridge. He will join along with Ajax star Hakim Ziyech this summer.
“To add guys like that is incredible.”
The Ameican international has endured an injury-hit debut season in the Premier League. He has shown flashes of his brilliance when fit and could go on to become a key player for us.
With Chelsea making ambitious moves in the market, exciting times lie ahead for the Blues. It is not a fact lost on Pulisic as he revealed the excitement for what the future holds.
“We’re focused on this season right now but we’re also excited for what’s to come.”
This does not mean that the future has come at the expense of the present. Chelsea showed heart and commitment to fight back from a goal down against Aston Villa.
Pulisic scored within five minutes of coming on to bring us level in the second half. Veteran striker Olivier Giroud scored immediately after to ensure that we left Villa Park with all three points.
Having seen our rivals drop points, the win takes us five points clear in fourth place.
Pulisic is a talented player who can change the flow of a match. With the likes of Pedro and Willian on their way out, it is imperative that the young American stays fit next season.
The prospect of him playing alongside the likes of Werner and Ziyech is sure to get Chelsea fans going.
