Speaking to DAZN (h/t Metro), RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that star striker Timo Werner will leave the club in the summer transfer window.

Werner had his heart set on a move to Anfield, something he has admitted openly. The fact that we have beat them to him is nothing short of a coup.
Although the deal is not official, it has already been agreed to in principle. With the pandemic currently restricting travel across the world, Chelsea have been unable to conduct the player’s medical.
Fans have nothing to fear however as Liverpool have already made their intention of not signing the player clear. It took another promising step following Nagelsmann’s admission on the player’s future.
“I do not expect Timo to be here next season.”
With Hakim Ziyech already in the bag, the Blues squad is taking an impressive picture. The duo will considerably enhance our offensive capability.
Chelsea struggled against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League this season. With the additions, we can hope to compete better against the best.
Currently, in the fourth spot, we are on course to qualify for next season’s competition. We do however have a number of tough fixtures to negotiate and will be challenged by a revitalized Manchester United side.
The deal worth £53m will also see Werner net £170,000 in wages at Stamford Bridge.
Werner has been prolific for Leipzig this season. He has scored 31 goals and 13 assists in 42 appearances leading his side to the quarterfinals of the Champions League and third in the Bundesliga.
