Chelsea training facility partially closed after Hudson-Odoi tests positive for COVID-19

According to a report by Chelsea’s official website, the club’s training facility will undergo partial closure after Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

The report adds that any player or backroom staff member who came in close contact with the youngster will now have to self-isolate to remain on par with government guidelines.

Although Stamford Bridge and a few other buildings are operating normally, there is clearly an air of caution not just at Chelsea but across the world of football.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

On Monday morning, Callum had cold-like symptoms and after being tested for coronavirus, his results came in positive. This has evidently set alarm bells ringing across our camps.

Under Frank Lampard, we have been a solid top-four contender in the Premier League but with the coronavirus extending its deadly grip, it remains to be seen how things fare in the foreseeable future.

Let’s hope our players stay safe and Hudson-Odoi recovers in good time as well. These are trying times indeed and our primary focus right now should be to fight coronavirus before even thinking about playing football.

It is essential to take precautionary measures to ensure the virus doesn’t spread.
