Chelsea can re-sign former youth player Jeremie Boga in the summer transfer window, thanks to a bargain transfer clause. (h/t Sun)
The winger, who can play on either flank or up front, joined Serie A side Sassuolo in 2018. The deal worth £3.5million also included a buyback clause that the Blues can choose to exercise in the summer.
The 23-year-old has made 49 appearances for Sassuolo and has scored nine goals. (h/t Whoscored)
Boga joined Chelsea in 2009 from ASPT Marseille. The youngster progressed through the youth ranks before making his first appearance for the senior side against Burnley in 2017.
Unfortunately for Boga, he was taken off after 18 minutes as Chelsea were forced to reshuffle their side following Gary Cahill’s red card.
Chelsea are in the market for a winger and have been constantly linked to Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
Boga could represent a much cheaper alternative to the Englishman, who is valued at more than £100million. (h/t Daily Star)
