Chelsea have completed the signing of Norwegian striker Bryan Fiabema from Tromso IL. (h/t Metro)
The youngster, who made his senior debut in the Norwegian first division last July, has signed for the Blues in a 3.5-year deal.
Fiabema impressed in his trial with the London club at the end of last season convincing the Blues to make a move for the talented youngster. (h/t Metro)
The agreement will see Fiabema receive a professional contract as soon as he turns 17 in February. (h/t Sun)
Chelsea will use the 16-year-old in their Under-18s and Under-23 teams, as well as offering him the chance to play in the UEFA Youth League. Fiabema was at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to watch Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Burnley.
The Norwegian is the first player to sign for Chelsea since the club’s transfer ban was lifted.
Chelsea’s U18s are back in FA Youth Cup action this week when they take on Bradford City at the EBB Stadium in the fourth round.
