Chelsea are one of a number of clubs interested in Blackburn Rovers youngster Vilius Piliukaitis, according to Teamtalk (h/t Sun).
The report adds that the 17-year-old Lithuanian joined the Ewood Park club in the summer and the club have the option of signing the midfielder at the end of the season.
Piliukaitis joined Rovers from the Lithuanian National Football Academy but the report claims that Blackburn might find it difficult to sign the player if a Premier League club comes calling.
The report adds that Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in the 17-year-old, who is being talked up as the next big thing in Championship football.
A Blackburn source was quoted saying (h/t Sun):
“Vilius has emerged as one of the best young players we have seen in years, they knew he was talented before he arrived but he has surpassed expectations massively and now it is little surprise that the interest is so high.”
The youngster has played a number of the Rovers’ youth games and was even the Man of the Match in their 1-1 draw against Manchester City’s U18s.
It will be important to track the growth of the youngster as he hasn’t played first-team football for the Championship club this season.
Chelsea have given youngsters playing time under Maurizio Sarri and getting another quality player on board would not hurt.

However, Piliukaitis would go straight into our youth setup and he will face intense competition to break into the Chelsea matchday squad.
