Cesc Fabregas wants to remain at Chelsea and play under Maurizio Sarri for a long time. The Spaniard’s contract at the club is up once the season ends, according to Sky Sports, but the former Arsenal man believes he can do a job at Stamford Bridge.

The 31-year-old was quoted by Sky Sports as saying:

“I’d love to stay at the club. I’ve been very happy for the last four years and a half, we’ve had great success, won many things.

“I feel I still have a lot of football left in me but it is now up to the club.”

Fabregas started in our 1-0 win over Vidi but hasn’t played a single Premier League game for us this season.

However, the Spaniard was happy with his role in the side and added:

“Everything goes through me. This is what I like. I feel sensations under Sarri that I never thought I would feel again.”

The midfielder had lots of praise for our current manager and claimed he is still learning from the Italian.

“The way he sees football is something that maybe in the future if I become a coach I think I’ll do something very similar to what he does. It’s what I like and how I see football.”

Fabregas has tons of experience under his belt, which will be important as we look to return to Champions League football next season.

The Blues are unbeaten so far in all competitions and lie a couple of points behind the Premier League leaders before this weekend’s fixtures.
