Chelsea’s pre-season has given the chance for one of our youngsters to remain at the club and fight for first-team chances, according to the Evening Standard. The report also claims that a number of teams are keeping tabs on the 17-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Maurizio Sarri seems impressed by Hudson-Odoi and has stated that the player will be a part of the side for the upcoming campaign.

“He will stay with us for all the season.

“He is a very young player. We have to wait. In the future he will be a very, very strong player.”

Hudson-Odoi was one of the stars in our pre-season clash against Arsenal as the English youngster won a penalty for us. The 17-year-old was fantastic in the match as he created a number of chances for the team.

The English star’s stock has been rising steadily since he lifted the U17 World Cup in 2017. Hudson-Odoi then made his professional debut for the club in January in the FA Cup and also played a couple of Premier League games under former manager Antonio Conte.

Hudson-Odoi has a couple of years left in his current deal but we have offered him a five-year contract to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.

The youngster will definitely come in handy during the long campaign. If he impresses Sarri enough, the Englishman might even get to start a game or two in the cup competitions to showcase his talent.
