Chelsea have confirmed a number of upgrades at Stamford Bridge ahead of the first Premier League game of the season at the stadium. The Blues face Arsenal at the Bridge and the fans will expect another three points after the opening day win over Huddersfield.

Additional facilities for disabled fans

The club have announced numerous upgrades at the stadium with the wheelchair positions being increased to 219 in this campaign.

The report added that new viewing platforms have been installed for away fans. There are 300 easy access and amenity seats that would be available on a match-by-match basis.

The East Lower concourse will see new changing facilities for the disabled supporters and the West Lower concourse features two new accessible toilets.

A specially designed Mobiloo van is also available for disabled fans. The van is close to the Stamford Gate outside the Millennium Hotel.

Sensory room

Another update is the brand new sensory room, which is a stress-free and controlled environment where younger fans with autism or other needs can enjoy a Chelsea match.

The section has been built to provide a view of the pitch with a calming atmosphere for the fans.

Better photo opportunities and signage

There would be new areas for photo opportunities for fans near the Britannia Gate and other locations. These areas would feature large imagery of Stamford Bridge and the players as well.

The stadium also features improved and better signage to help supporters travel around the ground with ease.
