“Real Madrid can interest me, everyone knows that”: Chelsea star drops a bomb regarding his future

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard might have helped Belgium to an easy win over Panama in their opening clash at the World Cup but the star attacker seems to be interested in a move away from Chelsea.

The Belgian was speaking to L’Equipe (h/t The Mirror) as he claimed that he has won everything with the Blues except the Champions League but is right now thinking about the World Cup alone.

The 27-year-old said:

“It would be too easy to say: I want to leave because I have done everything. It is for that before everything that I would really like to know what will happen at the club next year.”

Hazard also said that he would stay if the Chelsea team end up being better than last season, failing which, he would be interested in Madrid.

“I do not want to stay if we are less good. Real Madrid can interest me, everyone knows that.”

The former Lille man also insisted that a good World Cup will help him make a decision on his future, though he has a project still at Chelsea.

Hazard warning the Blues over transfers

The Belgian certainly is making it clear that he wants to see some transfer activity at Chelsea and if we really intend to keep the 27-year-old at the club, we have to bring in a few players soon.

We need a lot of strengthening but with us yet to finalise on a manager, it will be tough to close out deals quickly. Hazard is our best player, there is no doubt about that and even thinking about losing him is scary. Hopefully, this will be a wake-up to the board and we get our act together soon.
