Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek is looking to move away from Stamford Bridge in search of more regular football, according to the Daily Star. The report also claims that the player will leave the London club even if Antonio Conte is sacked.

The 22-year-old had an impressive season on loan at Crystal Palace and even made the England team for the World Cup in Russia. Loftus-Cheek also played the final 10 minutes in the win against Tunisia, where he impressed.

However, the Chelsea youngster has stated that he wants to play more football, wherever it may be.

“I want to play. I want to play as much as I can. And even this past season just gone I didn’t play as much as I would have liked to because of the injuries and stuff.

“So I still feel I need a proper season of playing – wherever it is.”

The 22-year-old has made a total of six senior team appearances for us but has not been able to become a regular for the side. The youngster did add that he was told by many that he would break into the first-team and become a regular like John Terry but the chances haven’t come for him.

Loftus-Cheek certainly did a bang up job at Palace and helped them avoid relegation under Roy Hodgson last season. It was this form that took him to the World Cup and we should go all out and convince him to stay at the club.

There will be some competition for a spot in the team with the likes of Cesc Fabregas in the side but we have to promote some of our youth players to prove Chelsea is the right place for their growth. We have given chances to the likes of Andreas Christensen in the past, so it is doable with Loftus-Cheek too.
