Chelsea star Eden Hazard wants the air cleared up about who the club might be bringing in as a new manager and which players would be coming in as he prepares for the World Cup.
The Belgian was quoted by The Express when he was asked if his future at the club depended on the business conducted by the Blues in the summer.
“Yeah I want to know. I want to know, but like I say I am focused on the World Cup.
“If we have something new – manager or players – it is always good to know it because I want players that can [help bring success back to] Chelsea next season.
“But to be fair the transfer market is not here [in full flow] yet. We will see after.”
The Belgian also added that Chelsea did not have a good season but winning the FA Cup “was a little better”.
Hazard has been in talks about a contract extension with the club but that has not come to fruition yet. The club, on their part, want to make Hazard the highest paid player in club history at £300,000-a-week.
For a player of Hazard’s quality, there will always be speculation about his future when his club has a poor season. The Belgian did add that he wants the Chelsea board to manage the club in the best way they can and wants to only think about the World Cup in Russia.
It is imperative that we keep hold of the 27-year-old as he is one of the best players in the world and hopefully, we can finalise who our manager will be next season and bring in the right players for a title challenge.
