FIFA considering rule changes regarding loan moves and it could affect Chelsea

According to a report from France Football, FIFA is considering transfer reforms in October and that could see Chelsea and Juventus suffer the most.

France Football reports that FIFA and several football players have already started discussions about new rules in football.

The report claims that FIFA are thinking about ending the loan system because some clubs are taking undue advantage of it.

Officials of football’s world governing body are apparently worried about the fact that big clubs are stockpiling players, which has resulted in the speculation of their future transfer values, the report adds.

France Football reveals that Juventus currently have a whopping 41 players out on loan, while Chelsea have 38. Hoarding youngsters and sending them out on loan in order to cash in on them in the future is a strategy that FIFA is planning to prohibit.

The report says that a discussion over how to entirely scrap the loan system will be held by FIFA’s Executive Committee next October. The report adds that the loan system is now being used purely for financial motives by various clubs.

As far as Chelsea’s policy of loaning players is concerned, Thibaut Courtois and Andreas Christensen are currently in the crux of Antonio Conte’s plans having initially enjoyed loan spells away from Stamford Bridge.
