Chelsea are keen to raid London rivals Arsenal again this summer with a move for Aaron Ramsey being lined up, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Welsh midfielder will have just a year left on his contract at the Emirates come summer and is yet to commit himself to a new deal.
Ramsey, who has scored six goals and supplied eight assists in the Premier League this season, has admitted Arsenal do not consider his contract situation a top priority. The same report also provides an excerpt from Ramsey’s conversation with BT Sport regarding the same.
“Nothing to comment on at the moment,” Ramsey told BT Sport. “I think they’ve been busy to tie up other contracts at the moment.”
Chelsea landed Olivier Giroud in January, signing the France international for £18 million and the Daily Mirror now believes Ramsey is on the Blues’ radar.
Chelsea have failed to defend their Premier League title and with a top-four place and Champions League qualification looking bleak, the Blues are set to once again overhaul their squad in summer, reports the Daily Mirror.
There remain a lot of places which needs to be addressed by Antonio Conte, who at the moment, finds himself under immense pressure.
Cesc Fabregas is out of contract at Stamford Bridge next summer while fellow midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has failed to live up to the expectations under Conte following his £40million move from Monaco in July.
After selling Giroud to Chelsea in January, I feel Arsenal won’t sell any more players to us and definitely not Ramsey as the Welsh midfielder is an important member of the Gunners.
