Predicted Chelsea Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Chelsea suffered a damaging 1-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham in the London Derby on Saturday but will get a chance to bounce back against Huddersfield on Wednesday in the Premier League.

Antonio Conte missed a chance to level Manchester United’s points tally after the Red Devils were beaten 2-1 in the Manchester derby. However, he will look to avoid any more complacency and name a strong starting XI against Huddersfield.

Team News

David Luiz is currently nursing a knee problem and is set to miss the game. Apart from him, there are no significant injury concerns for Conte. Spaniards Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso need to be careful as they are just one yellow card away from suspension.

Probable Chelsea XI To Face Huddersfield

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Antonio Conte

Thibaut Courtois (GK)

The Belgian has been the Blues’ first-choice and will look to continue his good form.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RCB)

Azpilicueta is easily one of the best in his role in England and is one of the first names for Conte on his team sheet. Should start.

Andreas Christensen (CB)

The youngster has been effective playing at the heart of the backline for Chelsea and should keep his in the absence of David Luiz.

Gary Cahill (LCB)

The skipper needs to lead the team from the front. His experience will be crucial in the game against the League’s newbies.

Victor Moses (RWB)

The Nigerian international came on as a sub in the previous game and is expected to replace Zappacosta on the right wing.

N’Golo Kante (CM)

The Frenchman has solidified Chelsea’s midfield since returning from the injury. A definite starter.

Tiemoue Bakayoko (CM)

Despite a horrible game against the Hammers, he should keep his place in the side.

Marcos Alonso (LWB)

With very few options available, Alonso is will surely start as the left wingback for Chelsea.

Cesc Fabregas (CAM)

The Spaniard will be tasked with adding creativity to the midfield. He’s been in good form of late and will look to keep it going.

Eden Hazard (ST)

Hazard has been Chelsea’s best player. The Belgian has to be ruthless from the onset if the Blues are to win all 3 points.

Michy Batshuayi (ST)

With Morata out of the clash due to fatigue and back issue, Batshuayi should be handed a rare start to lead the attack. The Belgian will be keen to get on the score-sheet on Wednesday and help his team get back on winning track.
