Towards the end of last season there has been heavy speculation that with the lack of European football, namely Champions League, several players may move out of Stamford Bridge. One name in particular that was mentioned was Diego Costa.
The Brazilian arrived at Chelsea from Atletico Madrid and upon arrival went on to win the Premier League title in his first season. However, he failed to recapture that magic in his second spell and has been heavily linked with a move back to Atletico in the summer. While at this point we readers are all speculating and do not exactly know what is going on Costa’s mind, we are not alone. Even his teammates seem to have no clue in which direction Costa is heading.
In a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo, Pedro has spoken about his past with Barcelona and how he misses it. He also mentioned that he is completely in the dark regarding Costa’s future as Stamford Bridge and has claimed that even the other players do not seem to know.
“We don’t know [if he is leaving], but for us it would be a huge loss,” he was quoted saying.
