Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has been extensively linked with a move away from the Goodison Park in the transfer window with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and former employers Chelsea keen on signing the big burly striker. While many believed that Chelsea would be the Belgian’s preferred destination, a report has emerged, claiming that the player has already decided on his future and has agreed personal terms with Arsenal. Should the move materialise, it would be a huge shot in the arm for Arsene Wenger after being snubbed by Leicester’s Jamie Vardy.
While Everton do not have any obligation to sell him, the player wants to ply his trade in a top team for the upcoming season and could force the club to sell. While the report claims that Arsenal have an agreement with the player, it remains to be seen if they can match Everton’s valuation of the player. The Gunners have often been undone due to lack of striking quality and given Lukaku’s record in front of the goal, we reckon Wenger would be willing to shell some extra pounds to add quality to the side.
