Stephan Lichtsteiner has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer. The Swiss international has just one year remaining in his contract and having worked with him earlier, Antonio Conte is keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
In a recent development, as reported by Blick, Inter Milan are keen on him too, and are willing to offer Juventus a swap deal involving Lichtsteiner and Joao Miranda. The Juventus boss Massimo Allegri is a big fan of Miranda and Inter are keen on bringing Lichtsteiner to San Siro as well. This has created a roadblock in Chelsea’s pursuit of the defender.
Lichtsteiner is expected to be valued at £9 million and while Chelsea are willing to pay that amount, Inter may have a better offer for Juventus on the table. The 32 year old is currently at Euro 2016 and has been at Juventus for five years. He has made 147 appearances and scored 11 goals for the Old Lady in that time.
